TALLAHASSEE – The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Florida Park Service invites Floridians and visitors to enjoy a hike along the state’s extensive, nationally recognized trail system during February and throughout the year. Recognizing the importance of providing a healthy and affordable outdoor activity for Florida’s families and visitors, Governor Rick Scott has proclaimed February as Florida Hiking Trails Month. “February is the perfect time for Florida citizens and visitors to take advantage of the scenic beauty offered by our state’s outstanding system of trails,” said Donald Forgione, DEP’s Florida Park Service Director. “Florida’s hiking trails give visitors access to natural and cultural resources, as well as promote healthy lifestyles, nature-based tourism and economic benefits for the state.” Finding that perfect trail to hike is now easier with the Official Florida State Parks Mobile App for iPhones and Androids. (Caracas, 08 de febrero – Noticias24).- El vicepresidente para Economía Financiera, Jorge Giordani, dijo la tarde de este viernes que “Venezuela se encuentra en una fase especial de su crecimiento” luego de la crisis estadounidense que también afectó a Europa y gran parte del resto de la economía mundial.

Durante una rueda de prensa en la que participa también el presidente del Banco Central de Venezuela (BCV), Nelson Merentes, Giordani afirmó que “Venezuela ha pasado por un proceso importante de legitimación política“, al recordar los resultados de las recientes elecciones de 7 de octubre y del 16 de diciembre.

“En esta exposición nos referiremos a dos elementos: al régimen cambiario y a la política cambiara. En este sentido vamos a anunciar algunas medidas. El primer elemento se refiere a la creación de un órgano superior para acceder al sistema cambiario“, anunció.

Las atribuciones de esta figura, indicó Giordani, serán fijar las prioridades en la administración de divisas, equilibrar los flujos de disponibilidad de divisas, así como presentar al presidente de la República propuestas que permitan aumentar el flujo de divisas.

“El segundo anuncio se refiere a uno en particular. Actualmente todos sabemos que tiene un valor único de Bs. 4,30, y se tomó la decisión de pasarlo a Bs. 6,30“.

No obstante, el vicepresidente para Economía Financiera añadió que para “estimular las exportaciones no tradicionales” de Venezuela se aumentó la cantidad de la retención del 30 al 40%.

Por su parte, Nelson Merentes anunció la eliminación del Sitme.

Entrevista otorgada a Latin People News por el Ex-Embajador de Panama Guillermo Cochez

VOY A SEGUIR DEFENDIENDO LA DEMOCRACIA Y LA LIBERTAD.

Latin People News. Especial. Oscar Ganem.  

Tuvimos el privilegio de tener un encuentro periodístico con el Embajador de la Dignidad, Guillermo Cochez, quien hasta hace una semana, fue Canciller  de Panamá en la OEA. Pudimos observar a través de la entrevista que le hicimos, que es un caballero culto, académico, profesor universitario y gran defensor de la democracia y la libertad.

La entrevista tuvo lugar en el Hotel Intercontinental del Doral y estuvimos acompañados del excelente amigo y patriota venezolano Vicente  Narváez Churiom, la escritora  Paola Tenreiro, el buen amigo y coordinador de la gira Econ. Ivan Ramos y este servidor Oscar Ganem, en representación del periódico Latin People News

Iniciamos la conversación y le preguntamos al Embajador Cochez: Dentro de su amplia trayectoria diplomática, cuando considera usted que hay una línea media,  entre su postura y observación critica, ante un hecho o injerencia, en asuntos internos de otros países, como algunos miembros del oficialismo castro chavista venezolano lo han catalogado.

Te puedo asegurar que siempre voy a estar en defensa de la democracia y la libertad en todas mis actuaciones dentro y fuera de la OEA. He mantenido una postura crítica frente al Sec. Gral.   de la OEA  Sr. Insulsa, porque considero que primero están los principios y la ética, y después los intereses económicos y políticos  de los países, frente a la democracia y la libertad.

Usted ha sido la voz de muchos venezolanos que encuentran inconstitucional, lo que ha ocurrido en  el país el 10 de enero. Que mensaje le envía a nuestro pueblo, en especial, a aquellos que han perdido la esperanza al salir al exilio.

La crisis que vive Venezuela es algo que va a explotar pronto por muchas razones. La corrupción y la chequera de Chávez ya está llegando a niveles insoportables y el ajuste social en Venezuela, tiene que llegar más pronto de lo que imaginamos. La petrochequera  va a ir mermando y así como hubo y hay,  la compra de conciencias tanto interna como o fuera del país, eso va a terminar siendo un elemento contraproducente, ya que el hambre y la escases de la cesta básica,  va a ser una terrible realidad en Venezuela. Vienen tiempos muy duros para tu país y por eso, yo estoy alertando que hay que salir rápido de ese régimen dictatorial  fracasado de Chávez, el payaso Charleston y el títere maduro.

Aun conociendo la postura política del Gobierno Panameño con el caso Venezolano, porque  decidió abordar este tema en la OEA.

Soy un demócrata a carta cabal, tengo 50 años en política y me forme dentro la de la democracia cristiana en Panamá. Mi postura en defensa de la democracia y los principios éticos que defiendo, no son negociables y siempre voy a apoyar el fortalecimiento del estado democrático y la separación autónoma de los poderes públicos.

Qué planes tiene para este año que comienza, seguirá en la actividad política?

Voy a regresar a Panamá el 20 de este mes, a continuar dando clases en la Universidad, a mi práctica privada de Abogado y por supuesto que voy a continuar en la política. Voy a seguir siendo la Voz que defiende la democracia y la Libertad, finalizo diciendo, nuestro entrevistado  el Embajador de la Dignidad Guillermo Cochez, quien dejo un gran mensaje al pueblo venezolano.
