November 4, 2014 Miami Beach Special Election

The City of Miami Beach has scheduled a Special Election, which will be held  during the November 4, 2014 General Election. Registered voters may choose to vote on either Election Day or on any of the following Early Voting dates and times: DATES       HOURS Monday, October 20 7 am - 3 pm Tuesday, October 21 7 am - 3 pm Wednesday, October 22 7 am - 3 pm Thursday, October 23 7 am - 3 pm Friday, October 24 7 am - 3 pm Saturday, October 25 8 am - 4 pm Sunday, October 26 8 am - 4 pm Monday, October 27 11 am - 7 pm Tuesday, October 28 11 am - 7 pm Wednesday, October 29 11 am - 7 pm Thursday, October 30 11 am - 7 pm Friday, October 31 11 am - 7 pm Saturday, November 1 8 am - 4 pm Sunday, November 2 8 am - 4 pm During Early Voting, voters may vote at any of the Countywide Early Voting sites for the November 4, 2014 General Election. The following two Early Voting sites are located in the City of Miami Beach: -New Location Miami Beach City Hall (City Center)*                                                     1755 Meridian Avenue, Third Floor Training Room Miami Beach, FL 33139 (Entrance located on the north side of the building)  - North Shore Branch Library 7501 Collins Avenue (Program Room)  Miami Beach, FL 33141 *Free Parking for Early Voters at Miami Beach City Hall (City Center) - 1755 Meridian Avenue: Free parking will be reserved for early voters at the southwest corner of the Convention Center parking lot, conveniently located across from the 1755 Meridian Avenue building, enter at 18 Street & Meridian Avenue. Registered voters who choose to vote on Election Day must vote at their assigned polling place. NOTE: In order to be eligible to vote in the November 4, 2014 Election, voters must  have been registered to vote with the Miami-Dade County Elections Department by October 6, 2014. Obey the Laws, Share the Road Police Enforcement of Bicycle & Pedestrian Laws Underway Citywide  Pedestrians: Obey all traffic laws. If no sidewalks are present, walk against the direction of traffic to see oncomingvehicles. Always use the crosswalk. Push the button to get the walk signal. Be visible. Wear bright, reflective colors on your clothes, shoes, belts and wristbands. Motorists: When passing a cyclist, keep a three-foot distance between your vehicle and the bicycle. Look out for approaching cyclists before opening your car door when parked. Cyclists: You must follow traffic rules of the road including traffic signals. Recycle, It's Easy & It's the Law  Start Recycling Programs Now, Enforcement Underway  www.miamibeachfl.gov/recycle    All residential buildings (apartments & condos) and businesses must have recycling programs. It is required by City Code. Contact your waste hauler or other recycling company to initiate a recycling program for your building or business.   Single-bin Recycling: Residents living in multi-family buildings that do not currently offer recycling can take their recyclable trash (no sorting necessary) to 75 ST + Dickens Ave (which also recycles electronics) and 210 Second Street.
