ATTENTION ALL AMATEUR MMA FIGHTERS

Date:  December 2, 2012

USA MMA KICK International Federation & Fighters Source™ will be holding a press conference on Wednesday December 12, 2012 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Opium Night Club at 1:00PM to announce the “Kick Off “ of the national amateur MMA tournament.   Frank Babcock, Renzo Gracie, Beto Nunes and Anthony Medina will be available for questions regarding the tournament rules and team selection guidelines.

Fighters Source USA Team Prelim will start the national tournament on December 13, 2012.  Doors open at 6:00PM.  Tryouts and preliminary matches will be held throughout the Country for any and all amateur MMA fighters wishing to participate.

This union was created with the intentions of securing our beloved sport of MMA in becoming an Olympic sport. With this common goal in mind, Fighters Source League made history on September 22, 2012 hosting and uniting four countries in an international amateur MMA event in Boras, Sweden.

Among the participating countries involved were Teams Denmark, England, Sweden and the United States featuring over 50 athletes representing their countries. The Fighters Source League with coordination from USA MMA KI Federation will conduct a national tournament where the USA MMA Team Finalists are selected only after the athletes have participated in a series of local, state and regional single elimination tournaments, until our official teams are selected.

In order to keep unity and consistency within the divisions, all countries will go through the same process of performing local tryouts, in order to evenly match all athletes in their respected weight class.

The tryouts will consist of the following criteria: conditioning, striking, takedowns and grappling skills. These skills will be tested and graded by USA MMA KI Federation & Fighters Source senior instructors.

After the USA Amateur MMA Team is selected, they will represent their country in the Fighters Source Korean Open in the spring of 2013, which will be known as the “Super Bowl” of amateur MMA. USA MMA KICK International Federation & Fighters Source will take this highly skilled team of amateur MMA fighters to the international stage to compete at the prestigious venue of Yong-In University in Seoul Korea.

Note: The first priority for selection will be your amateur MMA record and participation in “KICK” sanctioned MMA events. There will be established ratings based on your amateur record.
