Miami Beach's North Shore Park Bandshell & Ocean Terrace will dress in the typical, characteristic Latin flavor of the North Beach area to welcome the Miami Beach Food Truck and Music Fest on Wednesday nights this fall. Tonight's festival will feature the popular mobile food trucks, live music from DJ Oren Nizri, Jei and Amuka, and participation by area restaurants.

Esther Shalev-Gerz: Describing Labor

Not what do you see, but do you see - this question is at the core of Describing Labor, an exhibition by contemporary artist Esther Shalev-Gerz for The Wolfsonian-FIU. Through video, audio, photography, and text, Shalev-Gerz's installation gives voice to these otherwise silent figures so that we might achieve a new awareness of the human endeavor that gives shape to our daily realities.

Self-described chronicler and storyteller Inez Hollander's portrait series Miami Mosaic documents the Miami of today: a community teeming in diversity. Through Hollander's use of bold and vibrant primary colors and strong, unrelenting brush strokes, she captures the emotions of her subjects, enabling the viewer to see not only the many faces of Miami as a whole, but also the individuals themselves.

The exhibition of some 200 works by 135 artists is an intimate, often whimsical side of some of the greatest artists of recent times, each offering a singular vision of adornment. The Wolfsonian-FIU presents a new site-specific exhibit, Untitled ([construction of good)] by artist Bhakti Baxter in The Wolfsonian Bridge Tender House beginning November 29th. The installation will take place in the steel structure created in the Art Deco style outside of the museum entrance. The focus of the exhibit will be on the construction of good for mankind, focusing on how the meanings of things are perpetually shaped by their human and historical contexts.

Así como la apertura del Consulado en Miami.

Le Pregunte a Pedro Mena Secretario Ejecutivo de la MUD-Miami, para Los Estados de La Florida, Georgia, Las Carolinas y Luisiana.

Hay un tiempo estipulado en la ley para la designación del lugar de Votación por parte del CNE, a lo que el contesto:

No hay un tiempo determinado o limitativo, es discrecional.

Pedro, Crees que si volvieran a designar el centro de votación en la Ciudad de New Orleans, acudirían la misma cantidad de Votantes que en las Elecciones del pasado 7 de Octubre del 2012. Contesto:

Con todos los hierros arrancó la organización del 1er Torneo de Bowling Copa La Hermandad Venezolana, coordinado por el Sr. Antonio Badillo quien nos ha manifestado que se siente alegre y optimista por la receptividad de muchos venezolanos que desean participar y compartir en familia,  este domingo 24 de Marzo en el SpareZ Bowling de Davie ubicado en el 5325 South University Drive Davie, Fl 33328,  a partir de las 5:00 p.m.

Reunion Informativa Elecciones 14 Abril.

Estimados Miembros y Amigos  Venezolanos del Comando Simon Bolivar en Weston: por medio de la presente les estamos Invitando a participar en la Segunda Reunion Informativa , con motivo de las nuevas Elecciones Presidenciales en Venezuela  convocadas por el CNE, para el proximo 14 de Abril .
La Reunion  sera en Café Canela entre Weston Rd y la 84, “este Jueves 21 de Marzo a las 6:p.m.”,  contaremos con la presencia de muchos venezolanos  que desean participar e informarse de la Movilizacion a New Orleans.
Esperamos contar con su asistencia y asi activarnos todos en un solo Comando, para la Coordinacion de las Elecciones Presidenciales .

Protesta En Ciudad Doral y Recolecta de Firmas para Revocar a la Concejal y Recientemente Nombrada Vice Alcaldesa Bettina Rodríguez Aguilera.


Hoy Miércoles en horas de la tarde en la 107 Av. y la 58 St. en Ciudad Doral, un grupo de Personas Integrado por Residentes de Doral y Liderado por la Representante de la Organización Miami Voice Vanessa Brito solicitaban la comunidad que firmaran para Revocar a la Vice Alcaldesa.
Le pregunte a Vanessa Brito que la motivaba a impulsar  la revocatoria de Bettina Rodriguez y contesto lo siguiente: A petición de muchos residentes de Doral, así como dueños de Negocios los cuales se sienten Defraudados, pues esta persona, además de haber interpuesto una demanda a la Ciudad a la cual representa por 4 millones de Dólares, también tiene su negocio en el que mantiene relaciones comerciales con Entidades Gubernamentales.
Finalizo diciendo que La Primera Persona que realmente la motivo fue su Madre que es una persona enferma y por eso la llevo a convertirse en la voz de todas esas personas mayores que no pueden hacerlo.
