The Pompano Beach Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts department invites you to join them for an evening of music under the stars featuring 'Sigmund Floyd' a Pink Floyd tribute band. The music kicks off at 7:00 p.m. just south of the Pompano Beach Fishing Pier, located at 222 N. Pompano Beach Boulevard. Music Under the Stars is a monthly reoccurring event scheduled for the 2nd Friday of every month.

FRIENDS OF THE POOR 5K WALK/RUN

Friends of the Poor 5K Walk/Run brings awareness of poor in our community. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, St. Gabriel Conference, will host a Friends of the Poor 5K Walk/Run on Saturday March 9, 2013. The walk will begin at 8:00 am with registration starting at 7:00 am. The event will be held at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 731 North Ocean Blvd. Pompano Beach FL on A1A at NE 7th Street. The primary objective of the walk is to bring awareness of and show solidarity with the poor here in Broward County. There is no fee to walk or run in the event. Donations are encouraged but strictly voluntary.

The City of Pompano Beach Parks, Recreation and Cultural Department present an evening of nautical theme music sung by the United States Coast Guard Cadet Choral. This free event will be held on Friday, March 9 at 7:00 pm at the Emma Lou Olson Civic Center located at 1801 NE 6 Street.
The United States Coast Guard Choral is a select group of cadets, determined to be the top singers from the Academy’s 50 member official Glee Club. They are lead by Dr. Robert G. Newton, Director of Vocal Music at the United States Coast Guard Academy. This group will only by in Pompano Beach one night as they travel extensively throughout the United States, you won’t want to miss hearing them sing!
