Potential Tropical Cyclone Nine Could Impact Florida

Stay Informed

The National Hurricane Center is monitoring the development of a potential tropical storm that could develop into a major hurricane later this week. Although it is too early to pinpoint the exact location oand magnitude of the storm's impact, there is a potential for storm surge and damaging winds along Florida's west coast and the panhandle. Although the east coast of South Florida is not projected to have a direct impact, it is important to review your storm preparations in advance of any projected impact.

Where to find information:

  • The City of Weston will post information online at WestonFL.org once more information is available.
  • The National Hurricane Center provides periodic updates including watches and warnings at Hurricanes.gov.
