Mosquitoes Bite Away Protect Yourself and Your Neighbors Mosquito bites are never pleasant. They can be itchy and cause swelling. However, some mosquitoes can spread germs – viruses and parasites – to people and animals. The Broward County Health Department recently confirmed a local case of the West Nile virus which is one of the most common mosquito-borne diseases in the continental United States. You are the first line of defense when it comes to controlling mosquito breeding sites in your neighborhood. Click below to learn more about how to protect yourself from bites.
If you are in need of treatment in your neighborhood, complete the Broward County Mosquito Spraying Request form to have an inspector spray the requested area. |
