Give The Gift That Keeps Growing

Looking for a thoughtful gift for a friend or family member?

Our
Commemorative Tree Program provides a unique way for residents and visitors to honor a loved one, special event or memory. If you're interested in donating a tree, you can fill out the request form on our Urban Forestry website, where you have the ability to choose from a list of 17 tree options, planting locations and costs ranging from $500 to $3,000 dependent on size.

Additionally, this program aims to improve tree species diversity, increase the total number of canopy trees planted citywide and provide enhanced environmental benefits, including increased energy conservation, stormwater filtration, air quality improvement, and carbon dioxide removal and storage.
Let's Get Families Cooking!

We Want Your Input

The City of Miami Beach is considering proposals for interactive digital media kiosks in certain public areas as a way of improving the experience of residents and visitors by:
  • Providing way-finding information to civic and cultural institutions, restaurants, retail and other businesses.
  • Listing information on local events.
  • Communicating information on transit options.
  • Serving as a critical dissemination point for city messages during emergencies.
  • Serving as a surveying tool to solicit feedback from residents and visitors.
We have installed these interactive kiosks in City Hall and invite you to stop by and interact with them. Click here to learn more about the kiosks and to take a short survey to provide your feedback.

Hurricane Season: Plan and Prepare
The 2017 hurricane season officially began on June 1 and runs through November 30.
Forecasters at NOAA's Climate Prediction Center say that the Atlantic could see another above-normal hurricane season this year. According to their predictions, there will be a 70 percent likelihood of 11 to 17 named storms (winds of 39 mph or higher), of which 5 to 9 could become hurricanes (winds of 74 mph or higher), including 2 to 4 major hurricanes (Category 3, 4 or 5; winds of 111 mph or higher). An average season produces 12 named storms of which six become hurricanes, including three major hurricanes.

The City of Miami Beach wants to ensure the safety of all of its residents and visitors, and urges everyone to have a hurricane plan. The city is prepared - are you?
