Discurso Ramon Peraza jr 5 de julio 2013 en Weston , Florida

Buenas tardes senoras y señores:
Estoy muy agradecido a nuestra comunidad venezolana de  Weston, Broward y  adyacencias, por seleccionarme y brindarme la oportunidad de hablarles en commemoracion de la Independencia de Venezuela de la Corona Espanola, celebrada el 5 de julio de 1811, hace hoy 202 anos. Este proceso se inicia realmente el 19 de abril de 1810 con la destitución en el Cabildo de Caracas del capitán general de Venezuela Vicente Amparan representante de la Corona Española.
Intentando emular a nuestro máximo héroe libertador Simon Bolivar padre de nuestra independencia, cuando en el congreso de Venezuela en Caracas los diputados en sesión plenaria el 5 de julio de 1811, reunidos para escribir ,  aprobar y redactar el acta de independencia, en representación  de las 7 provincias originarias independentistas(Margarita, Barcelona, Cumana, Caracas, Merida, Barinas y Trujillo), quedándose fuera (Coro, Maracaibo y Guayana) quienes permanecieron leales a la corona española. En ese preciso dia en el medio del fervor de las deliberaciones que  en ese momento discutían acerca de tan crucial acontecimiento como era la iniciación formal del proceso independentista,nuestro libertador  pronuncio esta frase emblematica que retumbo en el oído , en la mente y en el corazón de los presentes: ¿Es que acaso trescientos anos de calma no bastan?.Hoy , reunidos fuera de nuestro país celebramos y recordamos esta fecha inolvidable que marco solo el inicio de un destino de emancipación del gobierno espanol y nuestra libre autodeterminación.
Solo después de librar muchas batallas contra el ejercito realista afecto a la corona española y sacrificar muchas vidas en 10 anos de batallas sangrientas,exilios,muertes, persecuciones,guerras,etc… llego por fin la gran batalla de Carabobo el 24 de junio de 1821 con  que se considera haber sellado la Independencia de Venezuela , luego quedaron unos reductos de resistencia que se libraron con la batalla naval del lago de Maracaibo  y la toma de Puerto Cabello en 1823.
Este proceso queda completamente librado con una Carta de Pacificación y Entendimiento en el 1845 entre el presidente Carlos Soublett y la Reina Isabel II de Espana, un documento de finiquito de disputa y de liberación oficial por parte de Espana.
Por eso repito, intentando emular esas palabras de nuestro  héroe y Padre de la Patria Simon Bolivar , nos preguntamos:  es que 200 anos después de nuestra Independencia no podemos tener un gobierno decente,  que gobierne para los intereses de todos los ciudadanos sin distingo de clases?.La gente nace con derechos naturales que ningún gobierno debe quitar : (el derecho a la vida, el derecho a la libertad y el derecho a la felicidad). El gobierno existe para proteger esos derechos y un gobierno existe solo si la gente piensa que debe existir. Como la gente entrega voluntariamente el poder a un gobierno la gente puede en cualquier momento retomar ese poder.
Thomas Jefferson, uno de los autores  de la declaración de la independencia de esta, nuestra segunda patria, , creyo en la idea que la gente escogiera su gobierno y siguiera sus leyes.
Creo particularmente que el pueblo debe tener el derecho de escoger su gobierno voluntariamente el cual debe trabajar  para la gente y proteger los derechos de las personas, y no permitir nunca  que se establezca un gobierno demasiado fuerte que le quite los derechos naturales e inalienables a las personas. Ni permitir a gobierno alguno que en nombre de ninguna revolución conculque sus sagrados derechos e impedir mediante la separación de los poderes, que nada ni nadie prive al pueblo de sus derechos.
Aprovechamos para darle las gracias a este gran pais por acogernos y abrirnos las puertas de libertad y oportunidades.
Señores el sueno aun permanece vivo, rendirse nunca…viva Venezuela libre!!!!!!!!!......

Alton Road / MacArthur Cswy Flyover Closes for FDOT Repairs
Sunday, July 14 through August 13, 2013
Special Commission meeting has been called for Monday, July 8 at 11:00 a.m. to discuss this issue.


After the conclusion of a traffic impact analysis, the closure of the Alton Road at Fifth Street flyover will close for repairs for 30 days versus the alternative 180 days.

Traffic alternates and detours as well as traffic signalization will be modified to improve the eastbound mobility on the MacArthur Causeway during the closure.

Two top qualified teams have been short-listed to develop plans with your input. City Commission is expected to make a decision on which team they will select to proceed to the next phase of development on in July.

It's Hurricane Season! Plan, Prepare and Register 
 
Miami Beach residents are reminded that Miami Beach is an evacuation zone and there are important preparations and procedures before and after a hurricane that you need to know. Hurricane season is from June 1 through November 30.

Wooden Boardwalk at Former Seville to Close & Detour
Approved Construction Continues

The boardwalk behind the former Seville at 29 Street will close soon for approved demolition. Passage along the boardwalk will detour to Collins Avenue. The City continues to pursue options on elevation and surface materials of the new beachwalk in that area.

New Homeowner Help Desk at Building Department
Residential Building Permit Assistance Counter on First Floor of City Hall

The Building Department opened a Miami Beach Homeowners' Help Desk to provide buidling permit assistance to Miami Beach condominium or single-family homeowners. The desk is open Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The service includes help with forms, processing of permits, permit research and personal assistance with necessary steps to obtain permits and inspections. Must show proof of residency. For more information, call 305.673.7610, extension 6956.

Animal Resource Officer Know of crimes against animals or other unlawful issues with animals in your neighborhood? Contact the Police Department's new animal resource officer, Mariana Jomarron at 305.673.7000, ext 3705.

Spay & Neuter / Volunteer
The Meow Mobile comes to Miami Beach twice a month to spay and neuter community cats at North Shore Open Space Park. This program is made possible by a grant from PetSmart Charities, Inc. Feed Them, Don't Litter
Be aware of littering laws. If you are feeding stray animals, food cannot be placed directly on the ground including plants or leaves and sand dunes. Also when using plates, cans or other containers, these objects must be removed immediately. Do not trespass in sand dunes.

Report 
Contact Code Compliance at 305.673.7555 if you see any dogs off leash; any dogs owners failing to clean after the animal; and littering; or any trespassing in sand dunes.

  • Check your home alarm system to ensure it is working properly.
  • Make sure all of your doors and windows are locked.
  • Use pins on sliding doors and windows.
  • Invest in quality locks and alarm systems.
  • Set your alarm when you leave, every time - no matter how long you are away.
  • Remain vigilant. Report suspicious activity or persons are observed in your neighborhood to the police.
