ADVISORY: Isolated Temporary Flooding due to Lunar Spring High Tides this Weekend

High lunar tides (above three feet) expected through Monday. Temporary isolated flooding may occur in low-lying areas. Please use caution and seek alternates during the high tide periods.

Lincoln Road Traffic Alert
For pedestrian safety, streets between Alton Road and Washington Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic due to events along Lincoln Road.
Veterans Day Parade & Ceremony /Picnic
Monday, November 11, 9AM

Show your appreciation to our troops as they march along Washington Avenue to 11 Street with marching bands and other colorful groups. The parade ends at Flamingo Park Baseball Stadium where a ceremony, military parachute deomonstration, and picnic will be held.

Public is encouraged to participate in this process that happens every 10 years. Upcoming pending items include, term limits for mayor, election vs appointment when Commission vacancies occur; Commission salar/compensation; compensation of the city attorney, city manager and city clerk; Citizen's Bill of Rights; Article XV to include traffic issues and the preservation of beaches.

Leftover household products that contain corrosive, toxic, ignitable, or reactive ingredients are considered to be "household hazardous waste." Don't place them in your regular garbage or recycling bins. Take them to the bi-annual hazardous waste collection.

Feed Them, Don't Litter
Be aware of littering laws. If you are feeding stray animals, food cannot be placed directly on the ground including plants or leaves and sand dunes. Also when using plates, cans or other containers, these objects must be removed immediately. Do not trespass in sand dunes.

Bullying is the most common form of violence young people in this country experience. In an effort to create a safe, peaceful and respectful community for all, the City of Miami Beach, in partnership with the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and Miami-Dade Public School (M-DCPS), launch a Community of Respect & No Place for Hate (anti-bullying) initiative.

One lane may be closed daily from 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. eastbound or westbound on the Julia Tuttle for bike and pedestrian project. Ramp work on Alton Road and Biscayne Bay exits will occur at night.
