The film that influenced 12 Monkeys, Chris Marker's La Jetée is an essential example of science-fiction filmmaking. Marker's short masterpiece is set in a post-apocalyptic future that tells the tale of an anonymous man whose childhood recollections make him the ideal candidate for time travel. This series is presented in conjunction with the exhibition I Have Seen the Future: Norman Bel Geddes Designs America.

The 18th edition of Brazilian Film Festival Miami is bringing back the best of the latest Brazilian audiovisual productions to Florida! This year the festival pays a special tribute to the 100th year of the great Vinicius de Moraes. For the first time, the Brazilian Film Festival will feature TASTE OF BRAZIL, a sumptuous "taste" festival where the public will be able to experience Brazil "inspired" dishes at a selection of partnering restaurants across Miami.

The installation will take place in the steel structure created in the Art Deco style outside of the museum entrance. The focus of the exhibit will be on the construction of good for mankind, focusing on how the meanings of things are perpetually shaped by their human and historical contexts.
