En Plein Air Painting @ Miami Beach Urban Studios (MBUS), 420 Lincoln Road Continues through June 24, 2017 Andris Vītoliņs Head of the Department of Painting at the Art Academy of Latvia and Aleksejs Naumovs, also a noted painter and the Rector of the Academy, have been funded to collaborate on new creative projects with Jacek Kolasinski, Chair of FIU Art/Art History and MBUS researcher and FIU Professor of Ceramics, Bill Burk. The Colors of Miami Beach: Part 2 @ Art Deco Welcome Center, 1001 Ocean Drive Continues through August, 2017 This exhibit showcases the work of three gay men whose work is inspired by the colors and colorful lifestyles in Miami Beach. Leonard Horowitz is credited with creating the color palette that led to South Beach's revival. In addition to his design work he also produced art that reflected his love of Miami Beach. The two other artists in the show are Decio Sales-Filho and Will McGaul, who are both inspired by Miami Beach in their work.
