City of Miami Beach Storm Water Drainage Upgrade

WHAT'S NEW?
On Monday, April 10, the contractor will be closing the east-bound lane of 17 Street between Washington Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue in order to repair the roadway. This closure will take place approximately between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. Flagmen will be on site to direct two-way traffic using one lane.

On Tuesday, April 11, the contractor will continue water main work along the west side of Washington Avenue, adjacent to The Fillmore. Access to The Fillmore will be maintained via 17 Street. This work will last through Friday, April 14.

ONGOING WORK
Drainage improvements continue along 17 Street between Washington Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue. The intersection at Pennsylvania Avenue and 17 Street remains closed. All motorists will be detoured throughout the area. Access to the Pennsylvania Avenue and 17 Street parking garages will be maintained through Lincoln Lane North. All travel lanes remain one way in each direction on 17 Street between Washington Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue. The work will be completed in approximately two weeks.

Work hours are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

This work is part of the Public Works Department storm water drainage upgrades along Washington Avenue from 17 Street to 18 Street and on 17 Street from Pennsylvania Avenue to Washington Avenue.
